Marketing workshops for people who are good at something else

We teach agricultural and regional businesses how to understand, present and market the business they already know inside out. Half-day sessions across regional NSW, run in cafes, on farms and at regional destinations. We’re not city, we’re country, and marketing out here doesn’t work the same way it does in the middle of Sydney.

Bringing this to a group or a region? ↓

You’re coming along yourself

You run a business you are good at, and marketing is the part nobody ever explained. You have been told to post more and you can feel that is not the answer. You want a morning that is genuinely useful, not four hours of theory and a folder you never open.

You’re bringing us in for a group

You are at a council, an industry body, Local Land Services, a producer group, a regional development organisation or an agricultural company, looking for someone who can teach marketing to your members in plain English. Preferably someone who works in agriculture rather than someone visiting it.

Both are welcome. The sessions are the same thinking, shaped differently.

Hamlet And Fields Central West Marketing Workshops

What a session can cover

Every session is shaped around the group, the time available and what they actually need. Nobody gets all of this in one morning, and the list is deliberately longer than any one workshop.

Know

what you stand for

What the business is actually known for, and what it should be. Who you are really talking to, and who you are not.

Shape

how you’re seen

Message, tone, and the way a business looks and sounds, so it is recognisable from one place to the next.

Find

what’s worth sharing

The part most people are surprised by. The knowledge, decisions, people, process and everyday work already sitting inside the business. This is also where we teach Teach, Show, Prove, the simplest way we know to work out what a piece of marketing is for.

Tell

telling it well

Words, photographs and video. Social media as one part of a wider online presence rather than the whole of it. Websites, Google and being findable. Practical phone photography and the settings that matter.

Build

something people remember

Consistency without a treadmill. Simple content systems. What is worth measuring and what to ignore.

Running through all of it: using AI properly. Handing the repetitive and administrative parts to AI while keeping the thinking, the story and the part that sounds like you.

These five are the Hamlet & Fields Method, the same five stages behind The Field Guide. Sessions borrow from them rather than marching through them.

What makes it useful

No jargon and no assumed knowledge. Nobody will be made to feel behind for not knowing what a carousel is. Where a term matters, we explain it.

It uses your own business as the example. Not a case study about a coffee brand in Melbourne.

It is run by people who work in agriculture. Not consultants visiting it for the day.

You leave with something you can use that week. Not a folder of theory.

We are a marketing agency, not a course business. What gets taught is what we do for clients the rest of the month.

How sessions run

The Roundtable

Half a day, small group, at a local cafe or regional destination

The social media and content session, built around the problem of not knowing what to post. What to say, why it matters, and how to find the material without inventing anything. Includes practical photo and video work on your own phone, and a printed workbook to take away.

Best for owners who want to stop guessing and start posting on purpose.

The Field Day

Half a day, hosted on location at a participating business

A strategic morning out. You walk the space, meet the owner, see how they actually operate. Then we use that business as the live example for a broader session covering positioning, content, campaigns and the practical use of AI. You also leave knowing a handful of other regional business owners.

Best for the owner, or the person who does the marketing for them. A proper strategic morning out, not a classroom session.

Speaking

Conference sessions, field days, industry events, member days

A single session inside an event you are already running, shaped to the audience and the time you have.

Best for organisations with a program already in place.

Tailored sessions

For organisations bringing us to their members or their region

Built to a brief, for a group, a region or a program. See below.

Best for councils, industry bodies and funded programs.

Bringing a workshop to your members or your region

There is good extension across nearly everything a regional business needs. Soils, animal health, pasture, water, safety, succession, business planning.

Marketing is the one that keeps getting left off the program, and it is the one that decides whether anyone knows the business exists. The result is a lot of very good operators who are effectively invisible.

We shape the content to your brief, your audience and what you need to get out of it. If you have a program logic or an evaluation framework, send it and we will write to it. Sessions can run as a one-off inside an existing event, a half-day for a member group, or a series across several locations in a region.

Local Land Services · councils and regional development organisations · government and government-funded programs · agricultural industry bodies · producer and grower groups · agricultural companies running grower or dealer networks · conferences and field days · business chambers and tourism organisations

This isn’t theory. It’s what we do the rest of the month.

These are regional businesses we currently run marketing or social media for. What gets taught in a workshop is the same thinking we apply to their marketing every week.

The things people usually ask

Can you tailor the session to our industry?

Yes. Sessions are shaped around the group, the time available and what they need. We will ask what your members actually do before we write anything.

Do we need to know anything about marketing first?

No. Sessions assume no prior knowledge, and no jargon is used without explaining it.

What do people leave with?

Something they can use that week. Depending on the session that might be a clear idea of what their business stands for, a list of things worth talking about, or a plan for what to publish next. Sessions include a printed workbook.

Can this be funded through an existing program?

It often can. If you are working within a funded program, tell us the parameters and we will work to them.

Is this only for agricultural businesses?

No. The thinking applies just as well to businesses operating in regional towns as to those working directly in agriculture.

Talk to us about a session

Tell us who the audience is, roughly how many people, and what you want them to walk away with. We will tell you honestly whether a workshop is the right answer.
